The Concept and The Architecture

Structure of the railway stop
Concept:  Human Body and Natural Movement (Calatrava)
Theme: Sustainability

The rings of the surrounding the railway stop are inspired by Calatrava's design exploration of the human body and their natural environment. Twisted structures along the tracks further features the focus onto natural environment.

Placement of the railway stop:
Concept: Rhythm, Structure, Geometry (Gaudi)

Rhythm, structure and geometry, all three of these concepts are combined into one which leads to the inspiration of the railway placement on UNSW campus. The fluidity of the rings are juxtaposed with the rigid building structures of the university - which then shows a sense of rhythm and stimulates the surroundings with its facade.
